Established in the year 1999, Kolleru Bird Sanctuary is a famous tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh. This bird sanctuary spans the districts of West Godavari and Krishna. Kolleru Bird Sanctuary attracts a large number of tourists as it is the home of a variety of avifauna in Andhra Pradesh. Visitors can spot various birds in the sanctuary throughout the year. Kolleru Lake is a huge freshwater lake in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This lake is a home to the migratory birds that arrive here annually during the months of October-March. The migratory birds like the heron, stork, swan, flamingo etc. from Philippines, Australia, and Serbia.
